Modern Slavery Statement
Mark Jarvis Ltd is headquartered in Leicester, England, employs around 250 people in England. The majority of our employees are employed in our betting shops across the Midlands and South Yorkshire. Mark Jarvis Ltd offers sports betting in the UK online. The vast majority of our supply chain spend is in skilled sectors such as professional services, marketing and IT.
Our Approach to Modern Slavery
We are committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking. We expect the same commitment from our
employees, contractors, suppliers and business partners.
Our Code of Conduct encourages employees and contractors to identify and report any suspicions of modern
slavery taking place. We also have a whistleblowing policy to ensure that employees and contractors
can voice any concerns that they may have without fear of suffering any detrimental treatment.
To mitigate against the risk of modern slavery across our supply chain, we endeavour to ensure that
our contracts with suppliers require them to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Furthermore, our procurement policy requires that, in assessing the suitability of a supplier
for partnership, we prioritise those who have demonstrated social and ethical responsibility.
These measures are further supported by our anti-corruption and bribery policy.
Reporting mechanisms
We encourage employees, suppliers, or business partners to report any concerns about modern slavery internally to their manager or a director, or externally via SafeCall, an international, independent, whistleblowing service.
Our future commitments
- To review and update our modern slavery statement every year in line with our obligations
- To continue to develop the above policies to ensure our approach is commensurate with our risk profile
- To widen the scope of our due diligence in 2019 to include detailed analysis of our suppliers
